Product Specifications:
This HSSE spiral flute tap features a **35° spiral angle** – significantly higher than standard 15° designs – providing superior chip evacuation in deep blind holes. Manufactured to A29 DIN standard with TiN coating, it is specifically engineered for threading stainless steel and other difficult-to-machine materials. The 4‑flute design reduces cutting load per flute and improves chip splitting, while the TiN coating (gold) minimizes friction and extends tool life.
The M16x2.0 tap has an overall length of 110mm and a working length of 28mm, optimized for deep blind holes in stainless steel (304, 316, 17-4 PH), alloy steel (4140, 4340), and high-strength cast iron. The high 35° spiral angle actively pulls chips out of the hole, preventing clogging and improving thread quality – especially critical in depths exceeding 2× diameter.
Typical applications include deep blind holes in pump housings, valve bodies, hydraulic cylinders, and mold components. Custom options include alternative coatings (TiAlN, AlCrN), left‑hand flutes, reduced shank diameters, and special thread tolerances (6HX, 4H). For stainless steel deep-hole tapping, this 35° spiral tap delivers exceptional performance.
HSSE taps for mechanical manufacturing offer enhanced tool life, high heat resistance, and precision threading. Ideal for transmission parts, bearing housings, pumps, valves, and fasteners.
