This HSSE spiral flute tap features a 35° spiral angle, providing excellent chip evacuation for medium-deep blind holes. The 35° angle actively lifts chips upward, preventing packing in blind holes up to 2.5× diameter depth. The 3‑flute design balances chip space and core strength, making it suitable for a wide range of materials.
The M16x1.5 tap has an overall length of 100mm and a working length of 22mm, optimized for medium-depth blind holes in carbon steel, alloy steel, stainless steel (304, 316), cast iron, and aluminum alloys. The uncoated HSSE substrate offers good wear resistance and toughness for general-purpose machining. For higher speeds or abrasive materials, TiN or TiAlN coatings can be applied upon request.
Typical applications include automotive components, hydraulic manifolds, machinery parts, and mold bases.
