Product Specifications:
This solid carbide spiral flute drill bit is engineered for high-speed drilling in aluminum, copper, brass, and plastic materials. The TiAlN coating, while often used for ferrous metals, also provides a low-friction surface that minimizes built-up edge (BUE) – a common issue when drilling aluminum – resulting in cleaner holes and longer tool life. The spiral flute design ensures efficient chip evacuation, preventing clogging and overheating.
The 10.8mm cutting diameter with a 57mm flute length and 102mm overall length makes it suitable for medium-depth holes in CNC machining centers and automatic drilling machines. The straight shank (12mm) fits standard collet chucks. The jobber-length design offers good rigidity for general-purpose drilling.
Typical applications include aluminum extrusions, engine blocks, electronic housings, and automotive components. While optimized for non-ferrous metals, this drill can also handle occasional drilling in steel up to HRC 58. Custom lengths, shank diameters, and alternative coatings (uncoated, DLC) are available for OEM orders. For high-volume aluminum drilling, this TiAlN-coated carbide drill delivers excellent hole quality and extended tool life.
Solid carbide drills for automotive manufacturing deliver high precision, excellent wear resistance, and high cutting speeds. Ideal for engine cylinders, transmission housings, brake systems, and e‑motor components.
