Product Specifications:
This solid carbide deep hole drill bit is designed for drilling depths up to 5× the cutting diameter (approx. 40mm) in hardened steels (HRC 58), stainless steel, cast iron, and titanium alloys. The TiAlN coating provides excellent heat resistance (up to 800°C) and low friction, enabling high-speed machining and extending tool life significantly compared to uncoated carbide.
The 8.1mm diameter drill features a 61mm flute length (5×D) and a 103mm overall length, making it ideal for deep blind holes in mold components, hydraulic manifolds, aerospace parts, and automotive transmission cases. The straight shank (10mm) ensures secure clamping in collet chucks and hydraulic holders. The flute design is optimized for efficient chip evacuation at higher depth-to-diameter ratios.
Compared to standard jobber drills, this 5D deep hole drill offers greater reach without sacrificing rigidity. Custom lengths up to 12×D, reduced shank diameters, and alternative coatings (AlCrN, DLC) are available for OEM orders. For precision deep-hole drilling in demanding materials, this TiAlN-coated carbide drill delivers superior hole quality and extended tool life.
Solid carbide drills for automotive manufacturing deliver high precision, excellent wear resistance, and high cutting speeds. Ideal for engine cylinders, transmission housings, brake systems, and e‑motor components.
