This solid carbide drill bit is optimized for CNC lathe turning and drilling operations. The TiN (titanium nitride) coating provides reduced friction and increased wear resistance, enabling higher cutting speeds and longer tool life in steels ranging from HRC 45 to 68, as well as stainless steel, cast iron, and heat-treated alloys. The 14.5mm diameter with a 65mm flute length and 115mm overall length strikes a balance between reach and rigidity.
The straight shank (16mm) fits standard lathe tool holders, collet chucks, and hydraulic chucks. This drill is designed for both rotating and stationary drilling applications on CNC lathes and turning centers. The jobber-length geometry ensures good chip evacuation for most medium-depth holes.
