This 2-flute solid carbide drill bit is designed for high-performance drilling in hardened steels up to HRC 58, stainless steel, cast iron, and alloy steels. The TiN (titanium nitride) coating provides reduced friction and increased wear resistance, enabling higher cutting speeds and longer tool life compared to uncoated carbide. The 2-flute design offers maximum chip clearance, making it ideal for drilling in softer materials as well as chip evacuation in deeper holes.
The 17.2mm cutting diameter with a 60mm flute length and 100mm overall length is optimized for medium-depth holes in mold bases, die components, hydraulic parts, and automotive transmission cases. The straight shank (18mm) fits standard collet chucks and hydraulic holders. The jobber-length geometry provides good rigidity for general-purpose drilling on CNC machining centers and milling machines.
