This HSSE spiral flute tap is manufactured to DIN 15D standard, specifically engineered for small-diameter threading in stainless steel and other challenging materials. The 15° spiral angle ensures efficient chip evacuation in blind holes, while the 3‑flute design provides balanced cutting action and excellent thread finish. With a compact overall length of 63mm and a short working length of 12mm, it is ideal for shallow blind holes in thin-walled or miniaturized components.
The M4x0.7 tap is commonly used in medical devices, precision instruments, electronics enclosures, watch components, and small automotive parts (e.g., sensors, brackets). The uncoated HSSE substrate offers good wear resistance for general-purpose machining of stainless steel (304, 316), carbon steel, aluminum alloys, and cast iron. For higher speeds or abrasive materials, TiN or TiAlN coatings can be applied upon request.
Custom options include left‑hand flutes, reduced shank diameters, and special thread tolerances (6HX, 4H). For high-volume production of small precision threads, this HSSE tap delivers reliable performance and consistent thread quality, making it a cost-effective choice for miniature components.
