Product Specifications:
This A30 HSSE spiral flute tap is manufactured to DIN 15D standard, offering excellent wear resistance and toughness for general-purpose threading. The 15° spiral angle ensures efficient chip evacuation in blind holes, while the 3‑flute design provides balanced cutting action and good thread finish. With an overall length of 90mm and working length of 18mm, it is suitable for medium-depth blind holes in a variety of materials.
The M8x1.25 tap performs well in carbon steel, alloy steel, stainless steel (304, 316), aluminum alloys, and cast iron. The A30 grade (high-cobalt HSSE) provides superior red hardness for higher cutting speeds. Although supplied uncoated, TiN or TiAlN coatings can be applied upon request to reduce friction and extend tool life in abrasive materials like stainless steel.
Typical applications include automotive components, machinery parts, and general engineering. Custom options include alternative coatings (CrN, AlCrN), left‑hand flutes, and special thread tolerances (6HX, 4H). For high-volume production, this A30 HSSE tap delivers consistent performance and reliable thread quality.
HSSE (cobalt-alloyed) and HSSE-PM (powder metallurgy) taps deliver enhanced threading precision, superior wear resistance, and high heat resistance – ideal for high-speed cutting in hard-to-machine materials. They are widely used in PCB supports, heatsinks, electronic enclosures, motor components, battery mounting holes, optical parts, and microthreads in miniature devices.
