This 3-flute solid carbide end mill is specifically engineered for high‑speed machining of aluminum and its alloys. The extra‑long design (100mm overall length) allows deeper cavity milling and greater reach in tall workpieces. The 3‑flute geometry provides optimal chip evacuation, reducing recutting and improving surface finish, especially in soft, sticky materials like aluminum. The 45° high helix angle further enhances chip flow and minimizes built‑up edge (BUE). Polished flutes offer a low‑friction surface ideal for non‑ferrous metals.
The 12mm cutting diameter features a straight shank of the same size for rigid clamping. This end mill excels in slotting, contouring, face milling, and trochoidal toolpaths on CNC machining centers. For higher speeds or abrasive alloys, optional coatings (TiN, DLC) are available upon request.
Typical applications include aluminum engine blocks, electronic housings, aerospace components, and general fabrication. Custom lengths, corner radii, and alternative coatings (ZrN, DLC) are available for OEM orders.
