Product Specifications:
This solid carbide ball nose end mill is manufactured from ultra‑fine 0.5µm grain tungsten carbide, providing exceptional hardness and wear resistance for machining hardened steels up to HRC 60. The TiCN (titanium carbonitride) coating offers higher hardness (≈3000 HV) and lower friction than TiN, enabling high‑speed 3D contouring, finishing of complex molds, and semi‑finishing of die cavities. The ball nose design ensures smooth step‑over transitions and excellent surface quality on freeform surfaces.
The 12mm ball nose (R6) is ideal for both roughing and finishing passes in automotive molds, aerospace components, and general engineering of tool steels (e.g., H13, D2, S7). The 2‑flute geometry maximizes chip clearance, while the 35° helix angle balances cutting force and surface finish. With a standard overall length of 75mm and flute length of 25mm, this end mill reaches deep cavities without sacrificing rigidity.
Custom diameters (1‑20mm), lengths (50‑100mm), and alternative coatings (AlTiN, DLC) are available for OEM orders. For demanding 3D milling of HRC60 materials, this TiCN‑coated ball nose end mill delivers long tool life, precision, and mirror‑like finishes.
