This A29 HSSE spiral flute tap is designed for small-diameter threading in general machining applications. The A29 grade provides good wear resistance and toughness, suitable for carbon steel, alloy steel, stainless steel, aluminum alloys, and cast iron. The 15° spiral angle ensures efficient chip evacuation in blind holes, while the 3‑flute design delivers balanced cutting action and good thread finish.
The M6x1.0 tap has an overall length of 80mm and a working length of 16mm, optimized for shallow to medium-depth blind holes in small components such as electronics housings, precision machinery parts, and automotive sensors. Although supplied uncoated, TiN or TiAlN coatings can be applied upon request to reduce friction and extend tool life in abrasive materials.
Custom options include alternative coatings (CrN, AlCrN), left‑hand flutes, reduced shank diameters, and special thread tolerances (6HX, 4H). For high-volume production of small threads, this A29 HSSE tap delivers consistent performance and reliable thread quality.
