This HSSE spiral flute tap features a 35° spiral angle, specifically designed for deep blind hole threading (up to 3× diameter). Manufactured to DIN 35D standard, it provides excellent chip evacuation and reduced cutting torque in medium-depth holes. The 3‑flute design balances chip space and core strength, making it suitable for CNC and manual tapping operations.
The M12x1.25 tap has an overall length of 100mm and a working length of 22mm, optimized for deep blind holes in carbon steel, alloy steel (4140, 4340), stainless steel (304, 316), cast iron, and aluminum alloys. The uncoated HSSE substrate offers good wear resistance and toughness for general-purpose machining. For higher speeds or abrasive materials, TiN or TiAlN coatings can be applied upon request.
Typical applications include automotive engine blocks, hydraulic manifolds, mold cavities, and heavy machinery components. The 35° spiral angle actively lifts chips upward, preventing packing and ensuring clean threads.
